Renew your IQCB credential
IQCB credentials are renewed every three years. Renewal requires continuing education and a signed Professional Standards and Ethical Practice Form. Renewal is processed through Certemy.

What renewal requires
All three credential levels follow the same three-year renewal cycle. Renewal affirms that IQCB certificants remain current with the field and maintain their commitment to ethical practice.
30 CE hours
30 completed continuing education hours are required per three-year cycle. A minimum of 15 hours must pertain specifically to qEEG. At least 2 hours must be in ethics.
Ethics commitment
Sign and submit the Professional Standards and Ethical Practice Form. This affirms your continued commitment to the ethical standards of IQCB certification.
Renewal fee: $300
The recertification fee is $300 USD, paid every three years through Certemy. Your renewal date and current CE totals are visible in your Certemy account dashboard.
Earning continuing education hours
Approved CE categories
CE hours may be earned through multiple categories. IQCB has designed the recertification requirements to reward active engagement with the field, through mentoring, consulting, conference attendance, and ongoing learning.
Approved online articles
Read IQCB-approved articles in the Resources section and complete a short questionnaire. Articles are available when logged in. Up to 5 articles per year. Upload the certificate issued upon completion to your Certemy profile.

Mentoring IQCB candidates
Qualified Diplomates who provide mentoring to certification candidates may earn CE hours. Upload a copy of the completed Mentor Verification Form to your Certemy profile.
Peer-to-peer consulting
Diplomates who continue to advise mentees and colleagues on qEEG applications may earn CE hours for consultation time.
Conferences and courses
Attendance at approved professional conferences and continuing education courses relevant to qEEG practice. Documentation of attendance is required.
How to renew
The renewal process
Log in to Certemy
Access your account through your IQCB login. Your Certemy dashboard shows your current certification status, CE hours earned, and renewal deadline.
Submit CE documentation
Upload documentation for your continuing education activities. Certemy will calculate your total and verify that you have met the minimum requirements: 30 total hours, at least 15 in qEEG, at least 2 in ethics.
Sign the ethics form
Complete and submit the Professional Standards and Ethical Practice Form electronically through Certemy.
Pay the renewal fee
Submit the $300 recertification fee through Certemy. Upon approval, your credential is renewed for another three-year cycle and your updated certificate is available in your account.
Lapsed certifications
If your certification has lapsed
Certificants who allow their credential to lapse must contact the IQCB directly to discuss reinstatement options. In some cases, the examination may need to be retaken. Contact our administrative assistant, Donna Sansone, to discuss your situation.
