Where your gift goes

Every dollar stays in the field

The IQCB operates with the discipline you would expect from a board of clinicians and scientists: lean, purposeful, and accountable. There are no shareholders, no advertising revenue, and no commercial agenda. Contributions from practitioners, researchers, and supporters of clinical excellence fund the work directly.

Promoting certification

Outreach to clinicians, training programs, and healthcare institutions that benefit from having access to IQCB-certified practitioners. The field grows when more practitioners meet the standard.

Candidate scholarships

Examination and application fees can be a barrier for early-career practitioners and those in under-resourced settings. Scholarship support widens the pool of qualified, certified providers available to patients everywhere.

Administrative operations

Maintaining the examination, the provider directory, the Blueprint of Knowledge, continuing education tracking, and the certification management platform all require sustained infrastructure.

Field development

Supporting the growth of qEEG as a recognized, evidence-based discipline, through conference presence, professional dialogue, and collaboration with other credentialing bodies committed to quality and patient safety.

“Certification is a covenant with the patient, a promise that the practitioner has been held to a standard that exists independent of any vendor, any training program, or any commercial interest.”

IQCB Board of Directors

Thirty years of independent stewardship

The International QEEG Certification Board was founded in 1995 by a group of clinicians and researchers who recognized that quantitative EEG was becoming clinically significant fast enough to outpace the ability of the field to self-regulate. The founding vision was unambiguous: an independent certification body, beholden to no vendor and no training organization, that would hold practitioners to an examination-based standard derived from the peer-reviewed literature.

For three decades, the IQCB has remained true to that founding commitment. The Board of Directors has always been composed of highly qualified professionals, licensed clinicians, board-certified physicians, research scientists, and neurophysiologists, who donate their expertise because they believe that patient safety in this field depends on verified competence, not self-attestation.

As a nonprofit corporation, the IQCB has no shareholders and no commercial interest in any training program, software, or EEG hardware. Its only interest is the integrity of the certification itself, and the safety of the patients who are served by certified practitioners.
